Florence at Night (day 10)

On Sunday, Michael and I found an open bookstore that sells books in English, and I bought the new John Grisham for the train journey from Milan to Florence. Due to a scheduled "General Strike" which will affect all public transportation, I'm not staying as long as would be ideal in Florence, but that will leave something to look forward to. As most of you know, my goal on this trip is not to be Super-Tourist. Rather, I'm simply living in Milan for a month, with the emphasis less on tourism than on culture, people, and general absorbtion. Does that make me a bad American?
Florence is a lovely city, made even more romantic at night. Here's a shot of the Firenze Duomo shortly after I arrived and dropped my backpack at the hostel. There are a few other night shots available in the "bonus" directory, and tomorrow you can compare the night shots to those taken in daylight.
